council chalet 2010. (:

I'm a happy kid! (:
Its 12:23am now and I've decided to do a short post on the council chalet.

First of all, I want to say a great big THANK YOU to all the seniors and friends who made this chalet a great success. Not everything went smoothly, but everyone enjoyed it a great deal on the whole. Thanks so much for making everything possible and for everyone's time and effort! (:

Initially I thought this chalet would be GIGANTIC XD and some kind of slack home, but whee, no! It was pretty eventful, and everything was kinda on our own.

I like!
Independence. Thats what I believe in.

So, yea~ Council was supposed to meet at the MRT by 2pm(:
Che Hoe suggested a mini lunch? Hehe it was kinda like a mini sec1 lunch :D Lunch was with Rachel, Li Yun, Kai Bin too (Y)
ZZZ JINKAI DIDNT COME!
I'm so sorry LOL): I should have been clearer.

Anyway, I spent my first day at the chalet mostly with JueWen!(:
It was pretty great. I thoroughly enjoyed the heart-to-heart conversations :D Though other councillors might have thought we were being anti-social by sitting outside of the chalet and not playing games with them, hehe I think my heart speaks more :]

WHOOOO. Soon after, the BBQ was starting(: Thanks, Sec 2 seniors for getting all the food and stuff. Gavin, Zhiyu, I like the charcoal party. :D
BBQ was great:) Everyone helped out (Y)
Though some just stood there for free food... Hehe I liked it all.

After BBQ, some of us went for night bowling too :D
I didn't know I paid for two rounds>< gutter =" NO" style="font-weight: bold;">Council went for a midnight movie!

We caught Rapunzel @ 2340.
Its a pretty great show.
Macca, wanna watch it together? It'll be my first movie that I'll be watching twice, though(:
It ended at around 1.30am!! :)

Jue Wen and I decided to bathe at the toilets outside of the chalet. (the Coasta Sands toilet. for everyone's usage.)
By the time we knew it, we were done bathing and we'd spent an hour into the night just talking. (:
When we'd decided to head back to the chalet (we were sitting outside on the toilet bench), the chalet doors were closed alr LOL. We didn't wanna wake the councillors inside up, so we thought we'd just hang around the reception area. MUHAHAHA we slept at the reception area! Who knew, the sec 3s joined us at around 4am XD They were at Downtown East's Mcd LOL.

So ya, the next morning came.
BREAKFAST!

We sec1s wanted to go to McD for breakfast(: WE are...
RICHARD
JIN KAI
KAI BIN
CHE HOE
PEY SHIUAN
CHERYL (:

At Macs, I kinda entertained us 6. (: I liked it, I loved it, and I want the clock to turn itself back.
Somehow we went from kiddy rides to pranks to vomiting pepper water to carebears to sticking as a family.(:
We laughed so hard our tummies hurt (: ALL THANKS TO YOURS TRULY!
By the way, I'm your sweet purple carebear alright! Press my tummy and I'll tell you sweet stuff. (:

OKAY yeah, we went for morning bowling.
I was part of the gutter club still, DUH.
Jin Kai owned the game with Kai Bin.
Hahahaha Che Hoe and Richard caught my gutter virus!! >w<>< bastard =" Richard" tch =" Me" bastard =" Peshy" tch =" Kai" cleaner =" Jin" xd =" Che"><><

anyway I died at macs.
fell asleep and felt like crying):
stupid oily hair also la. make me feel so sad): *its hereditary, haha. happens aft terribly long days.
but the cycling back to chalet was really scary.
I fell asleep while cycling many times.
I'm thankful I didnt fall into longkangs or anything LOL (:

Can you imagine? Cycling from Coasta Sands to Changi Village to ECP then all the way back?
Seniors said that we cycled the WHOLE of the park connectors @ Siglap, ECP, Tampines there~

(hehe i think we cycled past Sven's sec sch too LOL)

the cycling was really tough
but enjoyable still.
Xin ku le, seniors!

And senior Zhiyu, I really admire your spirit cos you didn't give up at all. JIAYOUS!!

..

I think I've finished everything. (:

I dont want to type alr~~

I'LL CONTINUE AND END IT PROPERLY NEXT TIME(:

Love,
Royal B!tch.

FLIGHT 2010.

This post is a very long post, but I hope you will take a few minutes to read this lengthy post as it was typed in no less than four hours...

NHSC Camp 2010 - FLIGHT 2010.
Basic groups: A1, A1, A3, B1, B2, B3
Basic items: 1.5l bottle, Passport. (guide/note)

*A1 = ODESSA

//

The camp started with campers squirming into places, finding their group members and sitting in rows.
Mentors went on the stage in the Sky Garden, and Noel (with her cute red hairband) made it clear to us the ground rules, expectations and what was required of us campers.
Punctuality was one of them.

ODESSA = Cynthia, Norman, Li Yun, Zoen, Iris, Kai Bin, Jin Kai and I.

-skip Ice Breakers

//

Food hunt! We were given 3 hours to buy as many foods as we can with only $45, and there were limitations to the foods we could buy.
Our assigned starting food was Yu Yuan Mian. This meant that Odessa had to finish a bowl (or more) of Fishball Noodles and continue to the next food.
Since it was given to as as Yu Yuan Mian, the next food had to begin with N, being the last letter of the previous food.
It was tough initially, as we thought that we were only allowed to buy one food at a time, finish them, then make the next purchase. (imagine running in and out of fairprice or a food centre with only one item each!)

To be honest, I thought that we were splendid, as we managed to buy the foods that all members agreed on taking a bite,and not be afraid to KEEP EATING:)
No one in our group was saliva-concious. (sp)
Think about it. We had up to 8 different drinks passed around the members, and a total of 32 other foods shared among all of us.
Weren't we brilliant! (:

//

In the evening, we had a workshop with our senior John, (hes awesome.) and it gave us a bigger scope of what we thought about leaders, councillors and the school.
It helped me greatly and I enjoyed listening to John.

//

Night activities after dinner.
We had to go around the school quietly in search for Lightsticks!!(: But our cheeky mentors could choose to be Demons or Angels who either took away or gave us lightsticks depending on whether we pleased them or not. Odessa ventured out after being really timid the first half an hour. We had 2 hours to play.
We pleased the demons by dancing and singing!(: At first, we only danced 'Run Devil Run' to them, but all the mentors quickly caught our dance already. With the help of SUPERNorman, we managed to do Gee, Mercy, Hoot, Nu Abo and You raise me up.

//

(quick runthrough)

-Morning exercise was funfunfun! THANK YOU SENIOR ZHIYU...who ended up playing the continent games with me!(:

On day 2, we had 4 hours to play Continent games.
The first 2 hours was competitive games, and the next 2 (After lunch) was collaboration games.

I enjoyed the first two hours the most, as Odessa kept cheering their members on, and they were really focused and committed. We played the games with confidence and lots of trust. In the number board, we also managed to set the record of the shortest time taken to complete the number board, where we had to move together and step on the correct boxes.

My next favourite game was cross-the-river. It might sound stupid to have some dumb newspaper game as your favourite, but when we were playing it, I thought that we really had a lot of trust in one another and everyone was willing to tiptoe or hug each other really tightly despite all our gender difference and members kept saying things like "you can step on my foot", "hold on tight", "be careful, touch those cones" and "are you ok".

*Odessa is great. So is our Mentor! (:

The next two hours of continent games were pretty exciting though, and though it was physically demanding, somehow I managed to clear it. Odessa was smiling throughout. (:
We worked with B1/Maroomba and we were to earn points together. Through this segment, I managed to get closer to senior Zhi Yu, Jazlyn and Nicole; especially during the game where we passed the green tea bottle.

//

The workshop at night was led by senior James, (YAY from RV too) who taught us really valuable keys to being a good leader. None of the key points did not have nothing to do with the help of friends and followers with us. Only with them can we do better.

Recognition is also as important. As leaders, clear goals must also be set and shared. The team must visualise what the outcome would be like, and work towards it. Everytime you fail, you grow and learn.

//

John taught us the importance of the love for council, the love in council, and the love, friendship and respect we had for one another in council. When we fall, we fall as one big family, but the impact would be lessened.

We need to take the initiative, make the effort and take the first step into making friends, bonding with them and being there for one another. When others are in need of help, we should not hesitate at all to stand up for them and help them, because we are responsible as well.

//

// Third day. I wrote ALOT.

Up we rose, at an early time of 4am.

Having to keep awake for a little surprise was pretty simple for me, somehow, as throughout the whole walking journey, Iris, Norman, Amanda and I were exchanging words when the other guys were listening here and there, but basically keeping quiet throughout...

I didn't think it was much of a hike, really, but I enjoyed the walking. With every sentence our members exchanged, the closer we got and the better we felt... It was really special and is definitely worth remembering. Having to assemble with almost pin-drop silence in the canteen in our groups was nothing too tough for dear Odessa, and in no time we started on our little journey.

Mentor Amanda lead the way, while the rest of us A1s were randomly guessing where our destination would be! Soon enough, Iris started sharing her past hiking experience in the council camp with us, and it got us into the chatting mood though it was only 4+. Iris kept on sharing, and we kept listening and cutting her off everytime we felt like saying something!! :) I felt awesome then, being with great leaders who were willing to share stories and fun with you despite your "young age".

If only Kai Bin and Jin Kai had talked more throughout the hike though! I tried so hard to make Jin Kai talk, smile and be HAPPY!~ everytime we had grouptime! With all our talking, the walk seemed a lot easier... and definitely a delightful thing.

The time did not matter.

I liked it that we stopped at Sunset Way and shared our birthdays too. It feels great to be comparing cute stuff like birthdays and find out that you are actually older than your friends, like how I'm older than Mr Composed by 17 days!(:

Not long after, we reached King Albert Park.

As much as the tempting McDonalds seemed awesome to the starving campers...(we left w/o breakfast), it was actually THE Disaster of my experience in the camp.
Hours have passed and I still can't help but feel pitiful, ashamed and embarrassed of myself.
Breakfast @ Macs seems like a great idea, doesn't it?
Well yea, if only I hadn't spilled milo -_-

*Breakfast was a burger and milo each. Fitted into the budget.

ODESSA was on breakfast duty today, and we decided we'd bring the burgers and milos up to where the campers were. I took a tray of milo like how we were instructed, and slowly I got up the stairs. But somehow as it got higher... the tray started to tilt, and the drinks were leaning towards me. That was 3 steps away from the 2nd storey. Senior Veronica was standing infront of me... as soon as she saw me she shrieked, and I don't know how but 3 dropped. Quite an embarrassment...
(but I managed to type it!!:))
I didn't know how I was supposed to feel. Imagine the mess, and if you were me.
I felt... useless.
Now its 9:42pm and I feel stupid.

Mr Composed was... composed.
Mentors didn't think of the accident as too big a problem...
But I just felt as if I could disappear with a snap of the fingers. Other campers didn't stare at me or say anything much, and honestly only a few knew who the culprit was initially. It was also an informal time for simple games and no one really cared.

Odessa, on the other hand, was my biggest worry...
Stuff like... what would I say? What can I do? How do I... Why do I...

/

The mess got cleaned up the McD cleaners (THANKYOU) and mentors didn't say anything. Because it was my fault, 3 campers were short of their drinks.
Iris and Zoen gave up theirs along with mine... But who knew, McD replaced us with 3 more. Thank goodness Iris and Zoen didn't have to lose anything because of me.
I'm so so sorry.

But yea... senior Gavin stared at me, so did Mr Composed. Other Odessa-ians were probably thinking about my very big blunder, but KaiQing dragged me into a game of "Black Magic". That meant A2 didn't care about the spillage. Good. Back to Odessa table.

But not for B3.
It may have been pity they were giving me, or just concern, either way I felt like dying. Crying. Running.

I lost my appetite.
What gives me the right to eat when I've caused so much trouble? I don't want to eat too. So its fine.

But Iris..Zoen...Weiting, Cynthia..
When I put my food down, saying I didn't want to eat because I wasn't hungry...
They did, too.

"if you're not eating, then we're not eating too."

I felt so horrible I could cry out loud then.... and in times like this I only hope there would be a single someone who'd hug me and say nothing...because I know I'll be able to trust in them...

Cynthia even suggested we play MRT... The game I'd been begging for since ages ago, and no one'd let me cos it was a fair bit childish and it meant that we'd be hit by our neighbouring teammate...
All that just for me. For a teammate, not a groupmate.

In less than fifteen minutes Odessa started minigames again.
As much as I'd like to commit myself and forget my blunder I'd think of Jin Kai's face and how I couldn't be half as smart in my actions.

The whole time I was walking back to the school, I was thinking about how dumb I was.
It may have just been a small accident but... Oh well.

After we'd walked past two Ngee Ann Poly bus stops, Thurston and Iris came from behind me (I was next to Li Yun) and we started playing games while walking.

Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang! Who died?(:

Yellow Blue Red Purple. Whats next?(:

I had a lot of fun playing with them, especially Thurston as he was from Monkulele/A2! He kept giving me different questions no matter how many times I asked him to "do that again!" and said "i dont get it". After many tries, I finally got the colour trick:D He kept playing Bang! with me too!!:)

Before I knew it, we'd reached SP. THEN, Siew Yin started to play Bang! with me!:) But urgh, I couldn't get any of them T.T

Finally, we reached NHHS. We were back to our canteen tables. Fortunately Odessa is infront of Monkulele. Senior Yu Xuan and Thurston then began to play with me the country game! I couldn't get it too ><
As a punishment, I had to drink gulps of water at a go. (<- Thurston is so smart!)
muhahahha I was hydrated.

//

CLINGCLING was super great, but I ran so much I gave up running LOL. I paired up with Thurston in the beginning!!:) will reveal why later. Also.. Thank you Liang Choon for doing that mini dance there so I could catch you.
*Gavin was gay during Clingcling and he wouldn't cling. :p
The FLIGHT CREW were great at making people feel exhausted! (:

/

Captain's Ball was amazing as well. I didn't score, but I ran, threw, caught to the best of my ability. Go, (captain's ball) group 4! (: It was a really tough competition. Gabriel, Nicole, Jing Kiat, SiewYin, Zoen, you're great ball players too[:

//

CR26.
We revealed our Mortals(:
I was proud to say my Angel is my Mortal. My dearest senior Liu Wei Ting.
Then, we also revealed who we wanted to befriend, get close and build a special bond with. You had to stand behind the person you chose.

I stood behind Alicia... and before I knew it.. I found out that Iris, Richard, Zoen and Thurston were the campers who wanted to build friendships with me.
I'd never think that my name would be written down on any camper's Passport, not to even say four campers'. I am really thankful that there are councillors who want to befriend me, to get closer to me... and I really appreciate it... and am very very thankful. Texting shall be one of the ways of communications, but these four buddies I will remember.

Amanda shared with us her thoughts about Odessa and our spirit throughout the camp, and I am really elated that we, the members of Odessa feel so strongly for our group.

One of the things I have learnt from this camp, is that:

A group is a bunch of people put together,
while a team is a bunch of people who care for each other, watch each others' backs, and work together.

I may not have phrased it in the exact way we were taught, but its basically how I feel.(=

No, Odessa is not just a group. It is... a TEAM.

(To quote John...)
T= Together
E= Everyone
A= Achieves
M= More

The camp has been fun, exciting and really AWESOME, but I hope this will remain in council forever.
I am motivated to join council, be a good councillor, and whether or not I make it to exco or not it does not matter, but what matters is that we feel for everyone else in council and do the best to our ability.
And most of all, Serve with Pride.

Today, you may recognise me as the milo-spiller,
But someday I hope you will recognise me as a leader.
A leader who makes the right choices at the right times,
Who is inspiring and broad-minded.
A leader who cares for her people,
A leader who will live up her philosophies.

"you will, when you believe."

YOZ

hihihihihihi.
ROAR
Its saturday!(: 7:54pm now, and I'm in the library. Dad and mum just brought us out for dinner @ commonwealth:) Cze char stall.. haha (Y)
great food(:

Also, I'd like to recommend you to DaddyVeggie veggie stall(: Its in Queenstown. Mei Ling street there:D (I grew up there!) Its next to Convenant Dental (my awesome dental clinic) and it sells really fresh and cheap veggies. The stall is run by the mother and both her sons:) Whats stated on its signboard is that the veggies are planted and harvested by their daddy and brought to the stall everyday so they can sell fresh veggies!
They're a bunch of friendly people there so I strongly recommend you to visit them someday if you're dropping by! They give lotsa discounts too:D and a bunch of veggies for only $1 each.

LOL OK anyway yes yes I'm using the library comp again! I'm left with 64cents and have 22 minutes left to use^^
Rawr... today was quite a fun day.
I couldn't wake up early enough to reach Queenstown swimming complex at 8am sharp though! (thats when they open)
But I got there before noon and I swum 14 laps:D (thats 14 x 50m!)
And yep I kinda read some science notes and did some pointers in my science textbook there (at the swimming complex canteen)

Then I got back to my really crazy addiction to BUBBLE TEA!~~ ^o^
XD OREO CRUSH AGAIN!
-_- Peppermint let me down on several occasions... But today I tried out a new stall. Qiqi Bubble Tea. Its not at the Queenstown station (thats Queen's HK Bubble Tea) though. Initially, I just wanted to get the layered cake:) Those kueh with many colours!
But the auntie wasn't there T-T

*darn i gave in to temptation~~~*
MUST. LOSE. WEIGHT.

Thats it, I'm swimming tomorrow morning before I head off to church!~ (L)
YAY CHURCH. (L)-to the power of infinity-

whoooo 15 mins more on the comp.
see you soon:)
today.... not so much of emoing.
but still, I don't like the way I look.
Got to get my sharp face back, somehow.
HAHA(:

bye-to!

Friday, October 8, 2010 9:29 PM
just two more to go!

Yes! Just two more exams till the end of EOYS. ohmygoodness @}{:>?><¬
sorry, I wasn't using vulgarities:)
I was trying to find the swirly turn!! ): ¬¬¬¬
Look, it isn't there):
alright i shall resort to the almighty copy and paste method! xD

... ... .. OH DAMN it failed.): boohoo. okay maybe not so almighty after all.
anyway! Its Friday!:) I shall watch Survivor and Amazing Race later!
I hope its the season where Kevjumba and his father take part:D I'm a fan of Kevjumba and Nigahiga:) Bubiosity and Happyslip rawks too.
Anyway. Today's paper was math, and honestly, I didn't study more than half of the year's syllabus very well for the exam. I
'm scared... I hope I get at least an A2?
I've decided... I shall work on my studies, CCA, and weight next year:D I hope to be a really great all-rounder by the time I reach sec 4! P6's Outstanding rvian's "qualifications" were barely what I thought was ideal... but anyway, my studies have never been very outstanding except for in primary 1 and 2 when I topped my class, got top 10 of the cohort because my mum pushed me all the way:D Then in primary 3, the computer came into my room and yes, you know what happened.
All the way to this date. (I'm still using mobile web!)
--oops, i found itXD ~~~~ Okay, anyway, great news!
My exam blues is slowly getting better:) It went away for the ELIT and CHINESE papers, but yeah today the blues made me feel quite bad?
If I can't solve math problems, it doesn't entirely mean I can't count properly.

And hey, I promise myself, no matter how much others discuss answers, and no matter how many marks the question is worth, I WILL NOT DISCUSS MY ANSWERS. =_=
No one has the right to stare into my eyes and say things like "are you sure i'm wrong? isn't it your answer with the probs?" LOL and having to hear stuff like "I'm going to fail!" (DX DX)

Failing is nothing close to not getting good grades. And 'good' may not necessarily mean A1 all the time. If I manage to get something near a B for geography.. I will be very content! =_=

Fail le, fail le

^PLEASE STOP IT. argh.. i just stalked T.T alright.. i really don't have self-confidence and i know i don't look pretty. no one'll fall for me not him too:D meh. all this stalking's making me feel worse by the minute and i wonder when i'll ever be thin again.

*shrugs* i'll only wish, and wish, to become as slim as yuri.

i don't mind being as pretty as yuri.
who doesn't! but oh well.
the only thing i can change is how beautiful my heart is :)

but anyway Tag replies :D (THANK YOU FOR TAGGING!!!:D)

Jiaying, Weiyang: Now its your UNBIRTHDAY!(: *its a good thing in Disney Monopoly! all players have to pay you!

ALIBABA!: Hello!! long time no see:D how are you? hope you are doing fine!! XD i will play habbo aft my exams hoping not to get addicted again:D THANK YOU FOR TAGGING!

Xuelin: ok! thank you:)

Vicki: GEELOVE(: psssst today close encounter^^all thanks to zx

BABABABABA: Ann right!(: yes. i wanna go your house soon btw:) how about this coming sat!!

Sianne: thank you my dear prawn.. haha. smiling? its hard.. all thanks to the fantastic and very marvellous class that has reduced me to this state i am actually not one bit appreciative for. hope you keep spreading your bubbly love all around too!

Hui Yi: hello!!:D ok ok sure! thank you for visiting:D I LIKED SEEING YOU ON THE TRAIN!:D

//

also,

Macca, I miss you more than anything else.
I've thought about it.
It was pretty stupid of me to have chosen NH, and when we do come back as MACCA again, I'm kinda the one left out one, and its hard to find a topic we can all talk about.
Its hard... and I think I've lost it.
It'd be too much to ask for your time,
But I just want to say that I'm really thankful to have known you guys and leaving me with good memories:)
Other than that, I can just tell myself that I'm on my own now.
And yes, it has only occured to me today that I'm the only one from our clique who's in NH not because my results are too amazing, but rather, I couldn't score as high as what was required by other schools. This also came along with the fact that I wasn't close to many rvians that are now in NH, except for what used to be Zi Ian and my dearest bro, Jun Ming.
I was dumb enough to think that our friendships would be as strong and passionate as they were before...
Perhaps not now,
But they will remain that way in my heart.
And I should have been a little smarter by acknowledging the fact that there would be difficulties finding the precious treasures with the identity of new friends this year.
:~l guess I have to try much harder!! :)

ALRIGHT,
DON'T GIVE UP ON ME.

I promise to upload my CHILDHOOD PHOTOS, PHOTOS AT MACCA BIRTHDAYS, NEOPRINTS, PAST TRIPS and of course, my ...
psle result slip! XD
I forgot all about it until i was searching high and low for my math compass (which was actually right before my eyes the whole time)
and thank you zhengxuan for helping me ask around if anyone had spares before i found mine:)
thanks so much,
and thanks for the trust in me again.

Hope your relationship with Lee Lewis works out fine.

goodnighto!:)

YOU WILL BE HOOKED, I ASSURE YOU!(:

Grahh... and ok the "mr handsome" is very emoD:

Its ok, there's Nicole to be the peanut packaging:D
Ok LOL which reminds me, Vicki and I went to west mall on saturday aft Mr Lee's math remedial class:) bought *some stuff* <-LOL! and Vicki was very close to buying a cute sharpener shaped like a peanut for only 50cents!

Gee.. and I'm addicted to Jay Chou's Hei Se De You Mo.

Dear readers(if any),
Remember to remind Vicki and Benedict (Mok, not Peacock like in the literature book) to watch Jay Chou's concert in 2012~!(:
Vicki says that Jay Chou comes to SG every two years.
True?(: *shrugs*
Oh well! Anyway, I think Vicki and Benedict'll make good partners for life!

OK LOL can apply to friendship / being buddies / LOVE? XD

Haha. Love you la...~~
:) also, i decided not to call myself Ugly anymore.
theres no need:)
but still... i cant help but tell myself that no one'll like me
so i shouldn't harbour hopes and get myself obsessed over him:D
(Nancy, Vicki, Nicole and Eileen know how horribly obsessive i can get.)<-no its not good:x
